AWS Cloud Engineer

Salary: $102000 - 143000 per year Requirements: ### We are looking for individuals who possess a minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in cloud engineering. You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or alternatively, have a High School Diploma combined with 6 years of relevant experience. An entry-level cloud computing certification (such as AWS CCP or Microsoft AZ-900) is required, or you must be able to acquire one within 90 days of your start date. Additionally, you will need to obtain a DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of employment. Experience with RHEL OS or Windows Server is necessary, along with the ability to script in languages like Python, Bash, or Perl. Familiarity with identity solutions that utilize SAML/SSO leveraging a CAC is also important. ### Responsibilities: In this role, you will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot compute assets in both AWS and Azure environments. You will compose new Terraform code and modify existing code to facilitate the deployment of AWS resources, adopting an automation-first approach to the administration and configuration management of resources in AWS GovCloud. You will administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and manage their AMI lifecycle. As part of a highly functioning Agile engineering team, you will participate in Agile ceremonies, and you will also create, maintain, and update relevant system documentation as required. ### Technologies: AWS Azure Bash Cloud GitHub Linux Perl Python RHEL SAML Security Terraform Windows DevOps Git More: We are on an ambitious mission to reimagine the way the Naval Sea Systems customer provides AWS cloud services. This position is based onsite in Virginia Beach, VA. To qualify, you must be a US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance. Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for about 50% of your working hours, occasional movement around the office, and effective communication with colleagues, management, and customers, possibly requiring you to deliver presentations and exchange accurate information.
