Senior Platform Engineer

Salary: $80000 - 114000 per year Requirements: Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience Typically requires 5 years or more of relevant experience Proven experience with API management platforms such as Kong, Broadcom Layer7, Google Apigee, or similar technologies Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, traffic management, rate limiting, and security policies Expertise in API lifecycle management including design, publishing, versioning, and retirement Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect) Proficiency in automation and scripting for API deployment and configuration (Python, Shell, Ansible) Familiarity with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices for API platforms Knowledge of monitoring and analytics for API performance and usage (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) Exposure to cloud-native API solutions and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead complex API platform initiatives Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain digital technology infrastructure to support IT applications and services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features to fulfill user requirements and business objectives Upgrade existing platforms to enhance performance and functionality through clean, efficient, and scalable coding Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to software applications Lead the application of internal software deployment platforms, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines to automate deployment processes Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather complex requirements and deliver effective solutions Write and maintain complex unit and integration tests, performing debugging to ensure software quality and performance Recommend improvements for the software development and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes, and system configurations Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to minimize downtime and ensure fast resolution Technologies: API Apigee Ansible CI/CD Cloud DevOps Docker Grafana Support JWT Kubernetes OAuth OpenID Prometheus Python Security TDD More: At Northwind Robotics, we strive to nourish the world responsibly and sustainably.
