Senior Oracle DBA (Remote)

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience administering Oracle database environments Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-scale production Oracle databases, including databases of 30+ TB Experience administering Oracle 11g, 12c, and/or 19c environments Hands-on experience with Oracle high availability and disaster recovery, including RAC and Data Guard Strong experience with enterprise backup, restore, and recovery processes Experience supporting high-throughput database environments handling approximately 80,000 transactions per second Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and/or Oracle databases in cloud environments Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and tuning Oracle database performance Experience managing Oracle database patching, upgrades, and lifecycle operations Experience supporting production releases and resolving complex database incidents Working knowledge of database security, access controls, and compliance requirements Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture and administration Strong PL/SQL and SQL troubleshooting and query-optimization skills Preferred: Experience supporting complex, highly available, business-critical Oracle environments Preferred: Experience working with application teams on schema design and database performance optimization Preferred: Experience with database capacity planning and resource forecasting Preferred: Experience supporting Oracle databases in both on-premises and cloud environments Responsibilities: Administer and support large-scale production Oracle database environments Manage database provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities Maintain and troubleshoot high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard Perform database backup, restore, recovery, and validation activities Monitor database health, availability, capacity, resource utilization, and performance Diagnose and resolve complex database, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance issues Analyze and tune SQL queries to improve database and application performance Support production releases, application deployments, and database changes Implement and maintain database security controls, user access, and compliance requirements Troubleshoot production incidents and drive issues through root-cause resolution Collaborate with application and engineering teams on schema design, query optimization, and database performance Support Oracle cloud environments and OCI-related database initiatives Technologies: Cloud Support Oracle SQL Security AI LESS More: We are recruiting for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support a healthcare organizations large-scale, high-transaction Oracle environments and enterprise applications.
