AI-First Software Engineer - .NET / AWS

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements: At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET, AWS, SQL, and backend development Demonstrated use of AI and agentic tools in a professional engineering workflow beyond basic code generation Ability to explain how you provide AI agents with codebase context, standards, and instructions Familiarity with context or instruction files, reusable skills, evaluations, or similar agentic development practices Experience reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated software Professional experience in payments, payment processing, fintech, banking, or payment-integrated applications Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams Preferred: experience with payment gateways, processors, PayFacs, merchant acquiring, transaction processing, payment devices, React or comparable frontend frameworks, AWS Lambda, or cloud-native architectures Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C#/.NET, AWS, and SQL Focus primarily on backend development while contributing across the full stack Apply AI and agentic development practices throughout the engineering lifecycle Build and maintain the context, instructions, and workflows that help AI agents work effectively in complex codebases Use AI in development, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and software quality activities Review and validate AI-generated code before production deployment Develop solutions for high-volume payment processing and merchant technology Contribute to application design, architecture, code reviews, and technical problem-solving Collaborate with engineers across distributed teams Technologies: AI AI Agents AWS Lambda Backend C# Cloud Frontend Machine Learning React SQL ASP.NET Angular ChatGPT Copilot Cursor LESS More: We are hiring an AI-First Software Engineer specializing in .NET, AWS, and payments for a growing payment technology firm.
