Senior OpenShift Cloud Engineer

Salary: $118,560 - 128,960 per year Requirements: Extensive experience designing, deploying, and supporting Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure, including OpenShift Container Platform 4.6 and later stable versions. In-depth knowledge of Linux containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deploying containerized applications and microservices. At least two years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Experience with Java, JBoss, Nginx, Node.js, and enterprise application architectures. Knowledge and experience migrating and refactoring applications for containerized workloads. Demonstrated proficiency with one or more configuration management or scripting technologies, such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Python. Experience provisioning multi-node high-availability clusters, including monitoring, performance testing, and application deployment. Experience with automated deployment tools. Strong conceptual and practical understanding of DevOps principles, tools, and practices. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or comparable alternatives. Strong analytical abilities and capacity to contribute across multiple projects in a multitasking environment. Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues. Working knowledge of networking concepts, including protocols, firewalls, and load balancers. Willingness to document processes, share knowledge, and train colleagues. Working knowledge of current technology standards and the ability to adapt to them. Preferred: Experience with VMware technologies such as vCenter, vRA, and vRO, and with running OpenShift on bare metal. Preferred: Working knowledge of SSL certificate management. Preferred: Experience with Agile teams, tools, practices, and ceremonies, including Kanban, stand-ups, and sprints. Preferred: Ability to stay current with relevant industry standards and emerging technologies. Preferred: Experience monitoring and logging containers and pods with Dynatrace and QRadar. Preferred: Experience with IBM Cloud and/or AWS. Responsibilities: Engineer, support, automate, and provide technical leadership for our Platform-as-a-Service offerings.
