Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

Salary: $105000 - 143000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of relevant experience. We prefer 6+ years of back-end, microservices-focused development experience. We look for strong hands-on knowledge of Java 11+. We prefer deep familiarity with standard design patterns such as Factory, Command, Facade, and Adapter. We want solid experience in object-oriented design and analysis. We prefer strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot. We expect strong knowledge of RESTful services and APIs. We prefer experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks. We value proficiency with Git. Basic working knowledge of Postman is preferred. We look for foundational knowledge of messaging queues such as Kafka, caching approaches, and Elasticsearch. Basic experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred. Familiarity with Scrum and Agile delivery practices is preferred. Knowledge of wikis is a plus. Experience with automation testing is preferred. Experience in React UI development is preferred. Experience developing GitLab pipelines is preferred. Previous leadership of development teams is preferred. Responsibilities: We lead SCRUM Agile development teams. We partner with architects and solution engineers to design and build technical solutions that meet user needs for functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. We oversee proactive maintenance of existing IaaS/SaaS and on-premises applications across Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services to keep mission-critical systems stable, scalable, and fit for purpose. We coordinate and support troubleshooting of code defects, data issues, and configuration problems to identify the source of application errors. We support business-critical and complex applications. We exercise sound judgment within defined procedures and practices to choose the appropriate course of action. We drive departmental best practices, implement guidelines, and follow standards. We design and develop real-time integrations and file-based integrations, and optimize database-level processing. We demonstrate empathy for developers and help create an exceptional developer experience. We build elegant, maintainable, well-documented, and secure code. We continuously improve ourselves and support the team around us constructively.
