Senior Java Developer with Azure

Salary: $62000 - 104000 per year Requirements: We need 12+ years of experience in software development and enterprise application architecture. We require strong expertise in Java 8+ including Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, collections, and JVM internals. We expect extensive experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development. We need hands-on experience with the Azure cloud platform, including AKS, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Event Grid. We require strong knowledge of Azure Storage, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Key Vault. We look for experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. We need practical experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep. We require experience integrating applications through REST APIs, gRPC, FIX Protocol, WebSockets, Kafka, and Azure Service Bus. We expect strong performance tuning and troubleshooting capabilities. We need experience with observability tools such as Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing, and centralized logging. We require knowledge of secure application development and financial services compliance. Experience in Capital Markets, Trading Platforms, Investment Banking, or Financial Services is preferred. Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, containerization, Kubernetes, cloud-native design patterns, and distributed computing is preferred. Prior technical leadership and mentoring experience is preferred. Responsibilities: We will have you architect, design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications and microservices on Azure. We expect you to build resilient, high-performance systems for trade capture, order management, pricing engines, risk calculations, and portfolio services. You will design and implement cloud-native solutions using Azure services and modern microservices practices. You will develop and support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. You will implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Bicep. You will integrate applications with market data feeds, exchanges, third-party vendors, and internal platforms. You will improve application performance through JVM tuning, profiling, garbage collection optimization, and latency reduction. You will ensure observability and reliability through monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and alerting. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Traders, Quantitative Analysts, Risk Managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders. You will apply security best practices covering encryption, access control, authentication, authorization, and regulatory compliance. You will contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical strategy planning. You will mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the engineering team.
