Salary: $74000 - 118000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in supporting OSI Monarch Energy Management Systems Proficiency with SCADA communication protocols such as ICCP, DNP3.0, and Modbus Experience managing Windows Server configurations, including security patches and applications In-depth knowledge of Operational Technology Systems implementation and software development Strong understanding of ERCOT Qualified Scheduling Entity operations and management of generating portfolios Willingness to provide on-call support for production systems outside of normal business hours Familiarity with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements Working knowledge of various Delivery Methodology and Support processes Responsibilities: Engage with business stakeholders to grasp ongoing strategies and GMS functional, technical, and support needs, while providing solutions to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives Oversee technical support, design, implementation, and upkeep of all OSI Monarch GMS/SCADA applications including SCADA, AGC, FEP, ICCP, ECA, and PI Historian Conduct modeling and testing of generation and SCADA systems across ERCOT, including performing point-to-point checkouts prior to commissioning Assist in investigating outages and restoring service to the production environment, swiftly troubleshooting GMS/SCADA application issues to reduce downtime and mitigate business impact Provide technical support for projects as required; collaborate on architecture, design, implementation, documentation of requirements, and coordinate with business users Directly support leadership and work with engineers, I&E specialists, architects, and analysts across various fields to achieve business results Ensure adherence to business processes and requirements while managing market changes (regulatory or others) safely as business evolves Manage stakeholder communication regarding portfolio status with business and I&E management Assist in the daily operations and maintenance of bp systems (GMS, PI Historian, and Bid-to-Bill), which includes after-hours tier 3 support and critical project initiatives Ensure all maintenance and support tasks comply with I&E IT processes and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Analyze, consult, and devise solutions for complex technical challenges related to resource operation and control, primarily focused on ERCOT Facilitate the implementation and rollout of updates, upgrades, or enhanced versions of GMS applications and platforms Drive continuous improvement initiatives for GMS / SCADA systems and customer processes Technologies: Support Security Windows 3D ASP.NET Java System Engineer More: At bp, our mission is to unite people, energy, and markets to navigate and empower a dynamic world.
