Senior Automation Quality Analyst - Playwright

Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation QA with strong hands-on experience in Playwright to lead automation efforts, improve testing frameworks, and support high-quality software delivery. Work Set up: Hyrbid - Dayshift (10:00am to 7:00pm) Location: Alabang Key Responsibilities Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and other frameworks. Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications. Collaborate with Manual QA and Development teams to improve test case design and overall product quality. Conduct functional, regression, and system testing. Prepare Test Plans, Test Summary Reports, and clear defect documentation. Mentor and guide junior QA team members. Ensure adherence to SDLC, QA methodologies, and quality standards. Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and tools. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Automation QA and 2+ years of hands-on Manual/Exploratory QA experience. Strong experience with Playwright and JavaScript/Node.js or another programming language such as Java or C#. Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated tests for web and mobile storefronts across multiple browsers, devices, and locales. Experience with cloud-based device/browser testing platforms such as LambdaTest, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs . Strong knowledge of BDD frameworks and Gherkin/Cucumber , as well as automation methodologies including BDD, DDT, and KDT. Experience creating and maintaining API-driven automated tests , including building requests, validating responses, and using APIs for test-data setup and backend validation. Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI . Strong understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines . Solid understanding of e-commerce user flows , including storefront, product search, cart, checkout, payment, order, and account-related scenarios. Knowledge of SQL for test-data creation, validation, and database verification. Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB . Ability to perform strong manual, functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing alongside automation. Experience creating Master Test Plans , test strategies, test cases, and automation frameworks. Experience leading or mentoring small QA teams and coordinating testing activities. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work hybrid, maintain flexible schedules, and travel when required. ISTQB certification is a plus.
