Senior AI Developer

Salary: $118,700 - 118,700 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education and experience. At least 6 years of significant software development experience. Strong Python skills; experience with Angular or React is an asset. Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, containers, infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD, and observability. Experience with automated backend and UI testing, and familiarity with observability tools and practices. Understanding of generative AI concepts and tools, including prompting, agent frameworks, evaluations, guardrails, RAG, embeddings and vector databases, model fine-tuning, graph databases with LLMs, MCP, and reasoning models. Strong data engineering skills; experience with Databricks technologies such as Unity Catalog and Delta Lake is an asset. Proficiency in AI-assisted coding and a good understanding of MLOps best practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions; a proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to drive change. Candidates located in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English because of frequent collaboration with English-speaking colleagues across Canada. Responsibilities: Develop and improve our MLOps platform to strengthen operational processes, robustness, performance, scalability, reliability, and observability. Lead end-to-end delivery of software products, including workflow orchestration, APIs and services, and front-end interfaces. Partner with data scientists and analysts to ensure AI solutions meet business needs, use high-quality data, and support strategic goals. Coordinate with IT and operations teams to integrate AI solutions with existing insurance systems and align on technical requirements and deployment plans. Keep current with AI and machine learning developments, apply relevant techniques to improve deployed solutions, and share knowledge with the team. Use CI/CD tools and agile practices to deliver features and updates quickly and reliably. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to squad members and influence the technical roadmap.
