Nimbus Data Systems Software Engineer II

Salary: $73000 - 139000 per year Requirements: We require a masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). We require no more than 12 months of professional experience, excluding internships. We require experience developing software applications in one or more languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic. We require hands-on experience with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Visual Studio. We require an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance before the start date. We require U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. We prefer experience using debugging tools to diagnose software issues and verify product integrity. We prefer familiarity with common hardware interfaces and data protocols such as TCP/IP or UDP. We prefer knowledge of software development lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile. We prefer understanding of software configuration management principles. We prefer a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. We require the ability to upload recent transcripts, include cumulative GPA, and list projected graduation date with the application. Responsibilities: We design, build, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows. We manage multiple software engineering assignments at the same time and set priorities effectively. We troubleshoot software issues and test equipment instrumentation. We collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. We develop and refine requirements for software products. We create applications, libraries, and instrument drivers in accordance with our prescribed software style, development language, and development environment. We support on-site factory operations for systems used in weapon system product development. We contribute to engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems across all phases of the product lifecycle. We work independently or as part of a team to design, develop, implement, and sustain system-level applications.
