QA Engineer

Salary: $164000 - 211000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a closely related discipline. We need at least 5 years of experience testing fixed income electronic trading systems. We expect strong proficiency in SQL, including hands-on SQL query development. We look for experience with automated testing and scripting. We need solid working knowledge of application integration, functional, regression, and performance testing. A strong understanding of fixed income markets is essential. We value the ability to perform under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines. We are looking for someone who is confident, self-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills are important. Responsibilities: We analyze project specifications, build and run test scenarios, document outcomes, prioritize work, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project. We review internal log files to support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. We use VeriFix to test FIX protocol workflows and to create and maintain automated test cases. We write and execute database scripts to evaluate results and define test scenarios. We perform and document functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. We log, monitor, and track defects discovered during the QA lifecycle.
