Principal Software Engineer

Salary: $197000 - 253000 per year Requirements: We expect 8+ years of progressive full-stack software engineering experience. We look for 5+ years contributing to software architecture and design. We need strong written and verbal communication skills. We value experience mentoring junior team members. We seek hands-on experience building highly resilient, fault-tolerant systems, including event-driven or distributed architectures with high availability. We require deep cloud engineering experience, ideally with AWS infrastructure. We appreciate experience using AI to improve personal productivity, especially Anthropic Claude. We need experience with Java Spring, Python or Rust, SQL databases, ReactJS, and REST or RPC APIs. Preferred: 10+ years of progressive full-stack software engineering experience. Preferred: 6+ years contributing to software architecture and design. Preferred: AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Developer, or other Associate/Professional-level credentials. Preferred: prior experience with agentic AI and agentic workflows, especially using Anthropic Claude. Preferred: experience promoting best practices and mentoring colleagues across an organization. Responsibilities: We lead end-to-end architecture and implementation of new fixed income trading systems. We build reporting and analytics integrations. We design and implement thorough test coverage. We configure and implement CI/CD pipelines. We introduce modern, efficient engineering patterns across our systems and codebase.
