Platform Engineer

Salary: $70000 - 132000 per year Requirements: We typically look for a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience, unless local laws or regulations prevent this requirement. We need experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash. We need experience using ClearCase, Git, or similar configuration management tools. We need experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining Linux operating systems. You must be able to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. Government Secret security clearance before your start date. U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Responsibilities: We support and improve our DevSecOps pipeline, using test automation, creative problem-solving, and the removal of low-value steps to drive efficiency. We respond quickly and effectively when pipeline outages or emergencies occur. We work collaboratively with engineers at all levels. We troubleshoot and resolve stability issues across multiple software baselines. We configure and install Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems. We configure and install network switches from vendors such as Dell and Cisco. We set up additional network infrastructure devices that support program requirements, including NAS devices and terminal servers. We integrate and test real-time embedded software, application software, and tools running on Linux. We maintain and enhance the tooling infrastructure. We may travel domestically and internationally as needed.
