Network Infrastructure Engineer, Cisco & Cloud

Salary: $117000 - 164000 per year Requirements: 3 to 5 years of experience in networking, IT, or related fields preferred Bachelors degree is required CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is preferred Strong knowledge of VMware and virtual machine configuration Proficient in scripting languages including PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python Exceptional documentation and communication skills Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues Comprehensive understanding of systems architecture and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Extensive experience with Linux (primarily RHEL and Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems Familiarity with AWS in BL9 or BL10 environments is a plus Experience in programming or development is desirable Certifications in VMware or IaaS are an advantage Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is preferred Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot the virtualized environment of the CIAT system using VMware Configure and oversee virtual machines (VMs) to ensure peak performance and resource efficiency Automate administrative tasks through scripting languages like PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python Develop and uphold documentation for infrastructure processes and workflows Collaborate effectively with team members to address technical challenges and share knowledge Independently resolve complex issues with minimal oversight Maintain in-depth understanding of the CIAT system of systems architecture and its interdependencies Install, configure, and manage both Linux (primarily RHEL and Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems Technologies: AWS Ansible Bash Docker IaaS Support Kubernetes LESS Linux Network PowerShell Python RHEL Security Ubuntu VMware Windows Cloud DevOps More: We are Bowhead, seeking a talented Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.
