Manager, AI Engineer

Salary: $151000 - 301000 per year Requirements: We need at least five years of recent professional experience in AI/ML, data engineering, or cloud solution engineering, including a minimum of two years in a consulting or client-facing leadership position. We prefer a masters degree from an accredited college or university, and require at least a bachelors degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in cloud AI/ML platforms, such as Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS ML Specialty, or Google Cloud ML Engineer, are an advantage. We look for a proven record of delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions and integrations with core business systems, along with the ability to lead technical teams, manage deliverables, and build trusted client relationships. We require hands-on experience with at least two major cloud AI platforms, such as Azure AI/ML, AWS Bedrock or SageMaker, or Google Cloud Vertex AI. We need strong proficiency in Python or other relevant programming languages, plus solid experience with API development, microservices, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model monitoring, retraining pipelines, and drift detection, as well as modern data engineering methods, is important. Experience developing conversational AI, chatbots, generative AI solutions, or AI-driven automation is required, together with knowledge of AI security, data privacy, governance, and ethical AI frameworks. We expect strong problem-solving ability, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to executives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including experience producing client-facing deliverables. We require willingness and ability to travel. Responsibilities: We design and develop AI/ML solutions end to end, using cloud AI services across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. We define solution architectures that combine LLMs, generative AI, and traditional machine learning with enterprise platforms. We lead AI projects from architecture and model development through integration and testing, while applying best practices in MLOps, security, compliance, and scalability for enterprise adoption. We partner with clients to translate business goals into technical solutions aligned with enterprise strategy and measurable outcomes. We run workshops and design sessions with executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams to shape AI roadmaps. We oversee deliverable quality, timelines, risks, and dependencies. We mentor and coach junior engineers and consultants, encouraging innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning. We collaborate with strategic alliance partners such as Microsoft, Google, AWS, and Salesforce to bring the latest ecosystem innovations into client work. We stay up to date on emerging AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and tools, and assess their fit for client needs.
