Lead Solution Architect, Pega

Salary: $117000 - 227000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline. We are looking for 7+ years of experience in business analysis or architecture, including 4+ years on Pega initiatives. We require Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA/CPBA) certification; CSSA or CSBA is preferred. We need a proven track record across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and design through build support, testing, go-live, and adoption. We expect strong expertise in case management, workflow orchestration, rules and decisioning, integrations, and data modeling within Pega. We value strong facilitation and communication skills with senior stakeholders, along with the ability to drive alignment and decisions quickly. We require solid knowledge of application architecture, integration patterns, and technology stacks. We need the ability to interpret business processes and convert them into practical technical solutions. We expect excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills for complex technical challenges. We prefer experience in insurance, financial services, or healthcare operations, especially claims, policy servicing, or customer care. Familiarity with our values and customer mission, as well as exposure to LTC claims or servicing, is a plus. Working knowledge of Agile practices, Jira or Azure DevOps, DCO workshops, and design-thinking methods is preferred. Responsibilities: We translate business needs into technical designs across applications, data, and infrastructure. We ensure our solutions align with the Architecture Design Framework and enterprise architecture principles. We partner with Enterprise Architects, Principal Architects, and development teams to promote consistency and reuse. We participate in Architecture Review Board processes and prepare solution review materials. We provide technical leadership during implementation and integration efforts. We lead business architecture for complex programs, including process modeling, case and lifecycle design, persona and channel strategy, and data and interface mapping in Pega. We facilitate requirements discovery through journey mapping, use cases, business requirements documents, and epics or stories, then align them to Pega capabilities and guardrails. We define solution scope, MVPs, and phased releases while balancing business outcomes, operational risk, compliance, and technical constraints. We work with Product Owners, UX, and Pega SSAs or CSAs to translate business rules into decision strategies, DCO assets, and testable acceptance criteria. We establish functional designs, mockups, prototypes, and test plans, and we lead SIT and UAT to confirm value and production readiness. We coach agile teams and stakeholders on Pega methodology and best practices, while mentoring other business systems analysts and promoting continuous improvement. We contribute to platform governance through backlog triage, reuse standards, data quality, and compliance documentation, and support audits when needed. We support business cases and roadmaps using measurable KPIs such as cycle time, STP rate, NIGO reduction, CSAT, and operational cost.
