About the role
Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot, focusing on backend services.
Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot . Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services . Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions. Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications. Work with databases and write optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and processing. Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Testers, DevOps Engineers, and other technical teams. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues. Support application deployments and system maintenance activities. Create and maintain technical documentation. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field . At least 5 years of professional experience in Java Development . Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 or higher . Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework . Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services . Knowledge of microservices architecture is preferred. Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Experience with Git or other version control systems . Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Experience with Docker and Kubernetes . Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP . Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies . Experience with automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) . Exposure to application monitoring and production support.
