Data Migration Lead (Databricks)

About the role This is a senior, hands-on technical role focused on data migration execution, technical problem-solving, and ensuring successful migration outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and executing data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness throughout the migration process. Key responsibilities Execute and oversee data migration activities across systems and platforms Utilize Databricks hands-on for data processing, transformation, validation, and migration tasks Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle Analyze source and target data structures and identify data mapping and transformation requirements Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation Identify and resolve data migration issues, discrepancies, and technical challenges Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure migration requirements are met Prepare and maintain technical documentation, migration reports, and validation results Support migration testing, cutover activities, and post-migration validation About you At least 10 years of experience in Data Migration Strong, hands-on experience with Databricks Solid understanding of data migration methodologies, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation Experience working with complex datasets and enterprise data environments Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams Experience handling large-scale or enterprise data migration projects Exposure to ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data quality management Experience supporting end-to-end data migration, from assessment and preparation through cutover and post-migration validation
