IT Applications Engineer, Java

Salary: $115000 - 160000 per year Requirements: We require at least three years of experience working on projects that implement solutions using development life cycles such as SDLC. We require at least one year of experience in a technical leadership capacity, with or without direct reports. We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, plus at least six years of experience in software development or a closely related area. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of the degree. Responsibilities: We translate business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, program designs, code modules, and stable application systems. We provide technical input and recommendations to ensure solutions meet design and functional needs. We collaborate with business analysts, architects, software consultants, IT teams, and vendors to shape flexible, scalable, maintainable designs. We design, develop, configure, and modify integrated business and enterprise applications across different computing environments. We apply DevOps, Waterfall, and Agile practices to deliver resilient, secure, cloud-based, high-volume solutions. We support systems incident resolution, troubleshooting, implementation, and post-implementation triage. We assist with component integration testing and user acceptance testing, including triage, fixes, unit testing, and documentation support. We write, review, and update technical specifications and related documentation. We develop and execute unit tests to identify errors and confirm solutions align with functional requirements. We help identify interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions needed to support technical solutions. We mentor, train, and coach other technical team members while contributing across all software development lifecycle phases. We support project estimation, data modeling, database analysis, and information handling practices, including accessibility, retrievability, integrity, and security.
