About the role
Build and support large-scale applications using .NET and SQL Server.
Salary: $104000 - 140000 per year Requirements: We need an experienced developer with 11 years of progressively advanced problem-solving work building, enhancing, or supporting large-scale applications with mission-critical business functions using .NET C#, SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, Transact-SQL, web-based programming, and related tools. Alternatively, we will consider an associate degree or higher in computer science or a closely related field plus 9 years of progressively complex development experience in the same technology stack. Alternatively, we will consider a bachelors degree or higher in computer science or a closely related field plus 7 years of progressively complex development experience in the same technology stack. We expect expert-level knowledge of application development principles, modern industry standards, and the Microsoft technology stack, including Windows, Visual Studio, IIS, .NET C#, SQL, TFS, and SharePoint. Experience may be accumulated concurrently. Preferred background includes Unisys COBOL, UCOB MCB TIP programs, web service integrations, 2200 ECL, DMS 2200 database software, and SSG. Preferred experience includes supporting IT applications in a 24/7 availability environment. Agile training or certification is preferred. .NET developer training or certification is preferred. Familiarity with machine learning or natural language processing concepts is preferred. Responsibilities: We independently create, upgrade, maintain, enhance, test, and replace existing applications. We participate in continuous process improvement activities within the system development life cycle. We design and build interfaces with business partners, including state agencies and third-party organizations. We use software development methods and tools to integrate and support custom and commercial off-the-shelf software and services. We translate high-level business and user needs into functional requirements. We troubleshoot and resolve complex application, interface, and data issues. We ensure security and privacy requirements are met. We monitor application health and performance and respond to issues as they arise. We provide technical leadership to the application development team. We develop applications that incorporate AI capabilities such as text analysis, automation, and decision support.
