About the role
Analyze and implement Epic systems to support clinical and business needs in healthcare.
Salary: $94000 - 131000 per year Requirements: We require at least two years of experience working with Epic or comparable health system software, or at least two years of scripting or programming experience. We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care, or a related discipline, plus at least three years of experience in IT or operations; equivalent work experience may be considered in place of the degree. We look for clinical or IT systems knowledge and experience supporting safe, high-quality care through the electronic health record. Responsibilities: We analyze complex clinical and business needs and translate them into scalable, efficient technology solutions that align with organizational goals, Epic standards, regulatory expectations, and industry practices. We lead and support large projects, system implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts across the full application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, implementation, training, and production support. We perform system build, validation, testing, and ongoing support for assigned applications. We investigate and document future-state operational specifications, application behavior, workflows, data collection, report details, and related clinical or technical issues. We develop and maintain internal procedures used alongside Epic applications. We evaluate clinical and business operations, user preferences, requested changes, and updates, then prioritize and implement system enhancements. We act as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation staff. We provide first- and second-level support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex incidents. We monitor system stability, availability, performance, and opportunities for improvement across enterprise platforms. We help technical and project teams resolve system and application issues and escalate risks or problems when needed. We plan and carry out complex configuration work, maintenance and refresh testing, and installation, upgrade, or decommissioning activities. We support production and non-production environments, vendor-related support activities, and performance tuning initiatives. We create and review documentation for system configuration and operational procedures.
