Embedded Developer LynxOS

Salary: $101000 - 192000 per year Requirements: We typically look for a bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus at least 5 years of experience. We require experience with LynxOS or another real-time operating system (RTOS). We require hands-on experience in embedded systems development and debugging. We require experience using scripting languages such as Python or Bash to build automation tools and test frameworks. We require experience programming in C and C++. We require an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance before the start date, along with U.S. citizenship to qualify for clearance. Preferred qualifications include an active Secret clearance, experience with system initialization software, POSIX and RTOS-specific APIs, networking protocols and embedded security, ARM/PowerPC/x86 architectures, embedded or real-time software integration and testing, automation pipelines, device driver development, real-time scheduling, systems software design, and Patriot software experience. Responsibilities: We modify, debug, test, and expand LynxOS and RHEL Linux embedded operating systems. We partner with application developers to add new capabilities and resolve technical issues. We serve as the main point of contact with OS and toolchain vendors, tracking defects and coordinating resolution for vendor deliverables. We collaborate with vendors on design work and customizations. We review software products for technical soundness and completeness. We communicate with senior software staff both in writing and verbally. We produce documentation for software design and release artifacts. We develop end-to-end software solutions and contribute to the success of supported programs and projects. We apply Agile and DevSecOps practices, including automation and continuous integration. We follow organizational processes and procedures. We support requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools. We work with project managers and other engineering professionals to deliver new functionality and improve existing systems.
