DSP Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $101000 - 192000 per year Requirements: We require a STEM degree and typically at least 5 years of relevant experience, unless local laws or regulations prohibit this requirement. We are looking for experience with radar or DSP concepts. We require hands-on experience with C++ and C in Linux environments. We require experience with object-oriented analysis and design. You must be able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date. U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience. Preferred experience includes real-time software development, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, and the software development life cycle. Preferred experience includes working with Windows and Linux, GIT, Jira, Jenkins, Python, Perl, Bash, and Kornshell. Preferred experience includes Agile/SCRUM, DevOps, test automation, and team-based software development. Preferred experience includes developer tools such as Git, CMake, GoogleTest, gdb, profilers, Jenkins, and UML. Preferred experience includes numerical libraries such as MKL, FFTW, BLAS, LAPACK, and ARM PL. Preferred experience includes DDS, C++17 or newer, Nvidia CUDA, and Matlab. Responsibilities: We design, code, test, integrate, and document C++/C real-time DSP algorithms or control functions for sensor systems in Linux environments. We resolve defects and maintain or update existing codebases. We analyze numerical precision and runtime latency. We support the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time DSP embedded software, application software, and tools. We improve existing applications and systems or develop new work products as needed. We maintain strong code quality through code reviews, static analysis, and continuous integration. We collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to understand and implement end-user needs. We take part in internal reviews of software components and systems. We work closely with project managers and other engineering professionals. We follow established development practices and configuration management processes for software products.
