Salary: $149000 - 149000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline. We need at least 3 years of experience with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis. We expect hands-on experience with SQL, Python, schema design, and software engineering practices that emphasize secure, testable, and maintainable code. We look for a solid understanding of distributed systems, data integration approaches such as ETL and federation, database tuning methods like partitioning and indexing, and relational performance optimization. We require a current, active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level or higher. We prefer experience working with AWS data services such as Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Kinesis, and Lambda. We value experience with CI/CD automation tools such as CDK or Terraform, physical data modeling approaches like Dimensional modeling or Data Vault, and pipeline performance tuning. We prefer candidates who have led end-to-end data engineering initiatives, including migration from on-premises systems to cloud-native architectures. We value experience engaging with customers at multiple organizational levels to translate business needs into scalable data architectures. We prefer knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, and HIPAA. Responsibilities: We help clarify customer business outcomes during discovery and convert them into data architecture and engineering solutions. We design and build secure, scalable, reliable, high-performing, and cost-effective data analytics applications. We collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate current environments, and recommend data migration and modernization strategies. We identify, manage, and communicate risks tied to solution and service limitations by making well-informed technical trade-offs. We serve as trusted advisors to customers on industry trends, emerging data technologies, and innovative approaches. We share our expertise internally through mentoring, training, and the creation of reusable assets.
