Data Center Operations Manager

Salary: $76000 - 169000 per year Requirements: I hold a Bachelor's degree or have 4+ years of professional or military experience in an IT-related field. I possess 2+ years of experience managing individuals in a technical environment. I have 2+ years of experience participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours support in a 24/7 operational environment, particularly related to Networking and Computer Hardware. Responsibilities: I will be operationally responsible for a Data Center, prioritizing and assigning trouble tickets to technicians and operators. I will manage the performance of diverse teams of Data Center operation professionals with varying skill sets across different locations. I will develop career paths for employees and implement updates to our internal tools. I will recruit and train data technicians to ensure we have adequate staffing levels. I will ensure the effective management of day-to-day Data Center operations, including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangements, and hardware logistics. I will quickly learn or act as the subject matter expert on all aspects of Data Center operations. I will ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are tracked and met. I will inspire and guide teams toward improvements in process, technological innovation, and automation. I will manage large-scale events (outages) and act as the call leader. I will enhance workflows and throughput for Data Center operations. I will recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and required SLAs. I will maintain the on-call schedule while coordinating absences and vacations.
