About the role
Ensure compliance with DOD cybersecurity policies and monitor cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Salary: $123000 - 172000 per year Requirements: DoDM 8140.03 certified (any IAT level 2 certification will meet this requirement) Over 5 years of professional experience as a Cybersecurity Specialist with a focus on cross-domain solution implementation Proficiency in computer networking concepts and protocols, along with network security methodologies Experience conducting application vulnerability scans using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tools Familiarity with revising artifacts and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Experience with eMASS/eMASSter Knowledge of gun weapon systems is advantageous Understanding of network security architecture concepts including defense-in-depth and zero trust principles Proficiency working with Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) tools Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, DNS, and directory services Knowledge of system administration and hardening techniques for operating systems such as Unix/Linux, IOS, Android, and Windows Experience utilizing Microsoft Visio for creating network boundary diagrams Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level US Citizenship is mandatory for Secret clearance Responsibilities: Review and maintain Cyber Authorization-to-Operate (ATO) packages for various MK160 configurations Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) Cybersecurity policies Develop and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) cyber packages Monitor and assess cyber threats and vulnerabilities Understand the operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses Implement host/network access control mechanisms Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and privacy principles relevant to confidentiality, integrity, and availability Analyze network traffic and ensure VPN security Manage transmission records including Bluetooth, RFID, infrared, Wi-Fi, paging, and telecommunications protocols Identify and manage system and application security threats and vulnerabilities Conduct application security risk assessments Work alongside teams to promote cybersecurity best practices across the organization Technologies: Android Bluetooth Linux Network Security TCP/IP Unix VPN Windows iOS Mobile OAuth OpenID SAML SQL More: At Bowhead, we are dedicated to enhancing the security of our systems by employing skilled professionals in the field of cybersecurity.
