Cyber Defense Manager

Salary: $66000 - 106000 per year Requirements: We require at least five years of recent experience in cyber security. We need a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field. We look for strong proficiency in security monitoring, incident response methods, and configuring security technologies such as log management, SIEM platforms, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, antivirus, and DLP solutions. We expect hands-on experience with SIEM, log management, SOC operations, and incident response. We need a solid grasp of threats, the current threat landscape, and intelligence collection, with the ability to translate threats into client risk. We value the ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and to quickly adapt to new technologies. We require availability for up to eight percent travel. We require authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship. Responsibilities: We monitor, detect, analyze, and investigate threat activity for our clients. We support alert handling and event investigation for incident response using SOC resources and other IT teams. We help implement security monitoring and incident response methodologies. We configure security controls and technologies, including log management, SIEM, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, antivirus, and DLP tools. We use tools such as QRadar, ArcSight, Splunk, ThreatConnect, and open-source solutions for SIEM and log management. We conduct thorough threat assessments and prepare high-quality reports for management review.
