About the role
Identify vulnerabilities and cyber threats across programs and systems, providing security guidance and mitigation recommendations.
Salary: $100000 - 140000 per year Requirements: We require 8 years of cryptographic vulnerability analysis or closely related cybersecurity experience without a degree, or a bachelors degree in computer science or a related field plus 3 years of experience, or a masters degree plus 1 year of experience. We prefer experience using Python, C, or C++ for code review and vulnerability assessment work. We prefer proficiency with both Linux and Windows operating systems. We prefer experience analyzing network traffic and using packet inspection tools, with Wireshark as the preferred tool. We require a current, active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. We require the ability to remain stationary for extended periods and to occasionally move within the office as needed. We require frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment. Responsibilities: We identify vulnerabilities and cyber threats across programs, functions, products, applications, and systems using HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and other intelligence sources while evaluating hardware, software, architectures, algorithms, and protocols. We compare cryptographic attack methods and develop effective countermeasures in partnership with threat analysts through regular assessments of network cryptographic devices, components, and technologies. We deliver formal and informal reports, briefings, and assessments on actual and potential attacks, using threat analysis and technical expertise to provide security guidance and mitigation recommendations. We create mitigation approaches and countermeasures for network, product, and service vulnerabilities while maintaining technical documentation and recording research, analysis, and results. We assess communications networks and systems for weaknesses and provide security analysis, evaluation, and guidance for the design and implementation of cryptographic protocols.
