Controls Deployment Engineer

Salary: $102000 - 171000 per year Requirements: We expect knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical schematics, and standard operating procedures. We require a B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or another related engineering discipline with 5 years of controls-related experience, or an Associate degree with 7 years of controls-related experience, or a high school diploma with 10 years of controls-related experience. Preferred experience includes project management in data centers or similar critical infrastructure. Preferred experience includes data center engineering operations with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Preferred experience includes reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings across all disciplines. Preferred education includes an M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or another related engineering discipline with 3 years of related experience. Responsibilities: We manage the scope and schedule of BMS and EPMS vendors during AWS data center construction. We develop scopes of work for site improvement initiatives. We coordinate multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and complex situations. We review controls sequences of operation and provide design feedback. We manage BMS and EPMS construction contracts financially and support procurement activities such as RFQs, RFI responses, vendor proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance. We conduct thorough reviews of BMS and EPMS submittals. We participate in the AWS global on-call rotation to deliver immediate technical support for in-service data centers. We ensure BMS and EPMS deployments align with the scope of work and specifications. We review MEP drawings and provide input. We attend project meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and report status regularly to Controls Management. We work under aggressive project deadlines. We interpret controls drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material. We understand and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces. We support controls commissioning activities in the field. We frequently visit assigned under-construction data centers locally to oversee vendor work and verify compliance with design, submittals, and applicable electrical codes.
