About the role
Salary: $137000 - 229000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline. We look for experience taking new design concepts from exploration and development through deployment or mass production. We require proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems. We require experience with power management and power monitoring systems. We prefer at least 5 years of project management experience in data centers or similar critical infrastructure. We value knowledge of critical data center equipment. We prefer familiarity with engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures. We prefer knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA. We prefer experience in data center engineering operations with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. We prefer the ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings across all domains. This role requires the selected candidate to be a US citizen. Responsibilities: We manage construction projects and oversee related activities for new builds and capital initiatives, owning scope, quality, schedule, and budget. We work directly with general contractors throughout bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases. We negotiate with contractors and assess bids and proposals carefully and accurately. We develop construction project scopes and prepare requests for proposals. We perform financial analysis related to construction efforts. We lead project management efforts for resiliency-focused data center initiatives. We conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new data centers and existing site optimizations. We manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing. We maintain construction quality control. We record and share key construction metrics with team members and leadership. We drive troubleshooting efforts and root-cause analysis for equipment failures. We act as a leader within our team and across internal and external partner groups supporting the data center.
