In Aperture Cloud we work with top international IT companies in order to boost their potential in delivering outstanding, cutting-edge technologies that shape the world of the future. We are seeking an experienced Cloudera Solution Architect to join the project for a financial institution.
Project information:
– Type of project: IT services

– Work mode: 100% Remote from Poland
– Budget: 160-180 PLN net/ h- b2b
– Project length: Long-term
– Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland
– Start date: ASAP (depending on candidate’s availability)
Project scope:
– Lead the design and delivery of data solutions within the Bank’s Platforms on Cloudera in AWS
– Design end-to-end data lake and distributed data solutions
– Contribute to solution planning, effort estimation, and identification of technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and issues
– Review and provide guidance on solution designs created by other Data Solution Architects and engineering teams
– Promote and define best practices across data architecture, engineering, governance, and delivery processes
– Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and the Group Data Office to refine and translate data requirements into scalable technical solutions
– Present solution designs to the Bank’s Architecture Review Board when necessary
– Provide support to and engage with non-factory solution architects on change initiatives
– Ensure technical designs align with overall solution architecture and enterprise data strategy
– Support the delivery lead to break down the solution so that it can be delivered iteratively in sprints
– Support other engineering functions within the factory, including mapping, building, testing, and release
– Review requirements and monitor change requests to ensure that the solution design is fit for purpose
Competence demands:
– Minimum 7 YoE in data and cloud-based projects
– Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Data Architect within large-scale enterprise environments
– Strong track record delivering distributed data solutions across complex, multi-vendor organizations
– Deep distributed data platform knowledge, particularly on the Cloudera CDH/CDP Platform or similar technology (On-Prem and Cloud)
– Experience with processing large datasets, streaming data, and unstructured data sources, including Cassandra, HBase, Kafka, and Spark
– Strong ETL and data pipeline experience with modern big data toolsets such as Airflow and NiFi or equivalent
– Strong programming background in either Java, Python, or Scala
– Good working knowledge of data architecture principles
– Ability to take a lead role and take ownership of complex data deliveries
– Experience with API Exposure, Integration, Streaming, Change Data Capture
– Very good English skills
