You will fully appreciate the direct correlation and importance of IT systems in the clinical environment and do everything in your power to maintain and improve the interoperability of the InHealth systems and the corporate vision of making healthcare better. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring and support of the various integration services across the InHealth estate. You will be responsible for ensuring the deployed interfaces are secure, adhere to best practices,s and to the best of your ability protect InHealth’s reputation. You will work with senior colleagues and support them in defining interoperability strategy and pushing integration solutions to the forefront of InHealth’s offered technical services. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a centralized repository of documentation for technical support staff (guides and knowledge sharing for designs, the system builds, support, and administration). You will work independently, or as part of a project team with 3rd party vendors and customers to deliver effective and reliable interoperability that is based on integration standards, business requirements, and best practices. On top of your salary, here are the exciting benefits you can look forward to: Comprehensive health benefits Work flexibly from anywhere in over 20+ workspace locations Access to KMC's exclusive pantry (MadMax Coffee, Fresh Fridge) Diverse learning & growth opportunities Accessible Cloud HR platform (Sprout) Above standard leaves The main responsibilities of an L2 INTEGRATION ENGINEER include: Working with the business to identify opportunities to automate and enhance the workflows of both new and existing processes Working with the wider digital team on the delivery of the Interoperability Roadmap solutions Working with the Senior Integration Engineer and the Principal Integration Engineer to identify and define the best integration solution options Working with the wider infrastructure teams to align activities with the organization’s broader architectural strategy Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and vendors, ensuring the highest level of application integration, support, and reliability Working with stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and accounted for in all design activities Providing escalated support for integration environments including RIS, PACS, and interface engines. Providing subject matter expertise and industry insights for all new, and existing services so that InHealth can remain competitive and abreast of emerging technologies Supporting the creation of the strategy and further development roadmap for improved innovation, interoperability and operational efficiency Demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise Building and testing Mirth interfaces and working with 3rd parties to deliver cross-system interfaces Making healthcare better for our patients and promoting the InHealth brand Testing all new interfaces and seeking DPIA and CAB approvals for deployment Undertaking 3rd line support Carrying out routine auditing of interfaces Educating colleagues on interoperability standards and protocols Championing interoperability opportunities across the organization Getting to know key players and emerging new technologies in your area of expertise Being the integration Subject Matter Expert for InHealth and using this knowledge to support business development activities Participating in organizing the ongoing upgrade of the underlying integration applications and services to ensure their continued reliability and support To apply for the role, you must have the following: An understanding of DICOM, HL7, and FHIR standards Recent engagement with detailed Mirth technologies (HL7, XML, HTTP, JavaScript, TCP, web services, API) or any other interface engine A degree-level qualification in computing systems and/or engineering Extensive understanding in a clinical systems environment, with particular reference to radiology systems and workflows Detailed understanding of the software lifecycle and a supporting ITIL qualification Management of 3rd party vendors, and engagement on projects with other IT organizations such as the NHS Active, positive engagement in customer service and support desk activities Management of stakeholder relationships at all organization levels An insight into project methodologies e.g. Agile or Prince 2 It will also be favorable if you have the following: A team player who is supportive, reliable, and trustworthy/who gets stuck in and cre
