SENIOR BACKEND ENGINEER (PYTHON)

This role is responsible for designing, building, and scaling the backend systems and APIs that power GRG Health's AI-driven healthcare and life sciences platforms. The Senior Backend Engineer owns end-to-end backend architecture, ensures reliability and performance at scale, and mentors engineers across the team. Health Insurance/HMO • Enjoy unlimited MadMax Coffee Diverse learning & growth opportunities • Accessible Cloud HR platform (Sprout) • Above standard leaves Architect, build, and scale backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI Design and optimize relational and NoSQL data models across PostgreSQL and MongoDB Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs for data-intensive and AI-driven services Implement authentication, authorization, caching, and performance best practices Ensure reliability, scalability, observability, and high availability of production systems Lead code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers Collaborate with frontend, AI, data, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments on AWS .• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Python Strong expertise in FastAPI and REST API design Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design and performance tuning Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and cloud-native deployments Experience with caching, message queues, and asynchronous processing Familiarity with AI-driven or data-intensive production platforms Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills .
