Workday Payroll Architect/Consultant - REMOTE

Location: Metro Manila, Philippines | Remote (M-F) Employment type: Full-time | Alignment based on regional coverage (US Night Shift, UK Mid Shift, or AU Day Shift) About the role We are seeking experienced, versatile Workday Payroll Techno-Functional Consultants to join our global practice. This single posting covers three regional vacancies—US Payroll, UK Payroll, and AU Payroll. In this role, you will act as a core subject matter expert driving end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations, system enhancements, post-go-live stabilization, and ongoing Application Management Services (AMS). You will bridge functional requirements with technical configurations, ensuring complete statutory compliance and seamless integration across core Workday HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. Key responsibilities Drive end-to-end Workday Payroll implementation activities (requirements gathering, configuration, testing, validation, and reconciliation) as well as post-go-live/AMS troubleshooting and issue resolution. Analyze complex business requirements and configure payroll calculation rules, processes, accounting tables, run categories, and settlement setups within Workday. Manage region-specific tax setups, filings, deductions, statutory reporting, and regulatory updates (e.g., US Federal/State/Local tax & W-2s, UK PAYE/HMRC, or AU STP Phase 2). Work closely with adjacent Workday modules—specifically Time Tracking, Time & Attendance, Absence Management, and Core HCM—to ensure accurate payroll outputs. Guide client stakeholders through their digital transformation, documenting configurations and helping client teams build internal Workday self-sufficiency. About you 4+ years of hands-on experience in Payroll domain roles as a Consultant, Techno-Functional Lead, or Specialist. Proven track record in configuring, implementing, and supporting Workday Payroll in an active implementation or post-production/AMS environment. Prior exposure to or hands-on experience with Workday Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Workday Custom Reporting/BIRT. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and audit/reconciliation skills with the ability to work independently in growing Workday environments. Exceptional client-facing, verbal, and written English communication skills for leading workshops and writing documentation. Deep understanding of US payroll processing, federal/state/local tax compliance, FLSA rules, garnishments, W-2/1099 filings, wage calculations, and payroll adjustments (for US Payroll role). Experience with Australian Payroll statutory rules (STP Phase 2, Superannuation, PAYG) (for AU Payroll role). Strong grasp of HMRC regulations, PAYE, National Insurance (NI), Statutory Payments (SSP/SMP/SPP), Auto-Enrolment workplace pensions, and UK payroll processing routines (for UK Payroll role).
