VP, Oracle Database Administrator

Salary: $21,000 - 38,500 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. We are looking for 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in large-scale enterprise settings. We need strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Database 19c and related technologies, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and Multitenant architecture. We require at least 3+ years of Oracle GoldenGate administration experience, covering implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades. We need proven experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical production systems in a 24x7 environment. We are seeking strong capability in database performance tuning, SQL optimization, capacity planning, and root cause analysis. Experience with GoldenGate replication to cloud platforms such as Snowflake is highly desirable. Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, and GoldenGate Microservices Architecture is preferred. We require proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and automation best practices. We are looking for strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. We need the ability to participate in on-call support rotations and lead critical incident response efforts. Oracle certifications, including OCP and/or GoldenGate Certification, are preferred. Responsibilities: We administer and support mission-critical Oracle Database environments to ensure high availability, strong performance, security, and operational reliability. We manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Multitenant (CDB/PDB), and Exadata platforms across production and non-production environments. We install, configure, administer, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions, including heterogeneous replication to cloud platforms such as Snowflake. We monitor and resolve database and replication incidents promptly while meeting SLA commitments. We lead database upgrades, patching, migrations, cloning, and modernization efforts. We perform performance analysis and tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Monitor, and Oracle Enterprise Manager. We support disaster recovery planning, testing, switchover, failover, and failback activities for business-critical applications. We develop automation solutions with Shell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL to improve efficiency and reduce manual work. We collaborate with application development, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to deliver resilient database solutions. We provide technical leadership, mentor junior DBAs, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
