Test Engineer

Salary: $95,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required due to customer-related requirements. Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline and 8 years of relevant engineering experience. Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. Ability to collaborate as a team member to solve engineering and test problems. General technical and theoretical knowledge of Department of Defense principles for developmental and operational testing. Working knowledge of verification and validation activities associated with the systems engineering V, system test and integration, strategic planning, and/or process improvement. Ability to contribute to test planning, integration, execution, and analysis. Basic knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) components and system-level topics. Responsibilities: Provide test engineering support for systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices, and processes across developmental and operational weapon system programs. Support developmental and operational test events in flight, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), and operational environments. Help plan, integrate, execute, and analyze tests as part of an integrated test team. Apply DoD developmental and operational testing principles and systems engineering verification and validation practices. Support system testing and integration, including interface definition, test configuration, and readiness for test events. Identify, investigate, and resolve engineering issues arising during test planning, integration, execution, and analysis. Apply technical and theoretical knowledge of strategic planning and process improvement to test processes when assigned. Use knowledge of MDS components and system-level topics to interpret test objectives, data, and results. Prepare and review test plans, procedures, data products, and analysis inputs in accordance with program and DoD test processes. Coordinate assigned test activities with systems engineering, integration, operations, and government stakeholders.
