Job Description Get to Know the Team Our team builds and operates automation that improves how work gets done across the business. We focus on reducing manual effort, improving reliability, and scaling workflows through AI-powered tools, chatbots, system integrations, and engineering automation. We work across the full lifecycle of automation from design to production support and continuous improvement. Because we embed these automations in daily operations, we also place emphasis on observability, incident response, and operational resilience. Get to Know the Role As an AI Operations and Automation Specialist, you will design, build, and support automation that streamlines internal workflows and improves team efficiency. You will combine hands-on automation engineering with operational ownership, giving you end-to-end responsibility from development through production support. You will work with AI/LLM platforms, chatbot and integration frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools to deliver reliable automation. You will also help manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen the team's operating processes through better tooling, documentation, and continuous improvement. You will report to the Tech Support Engineering Manager and onsite in the Jakarta office based. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform Develop automation for internal workflows using AI/LLM platforms, chatbot tools, and integration frameworks. Ensure automation is secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with engineering and compliance standards. Maintain troubleshoot automation code, repositories, merge requests, and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab. Improve existing automation by maintaining, refactoring, and hardening solutions over time. Assessment, investigate, and resolve incidents affecting automations and related services, including participation in war-room calls when needed. Communicate incident status, impact, and recovery progress clearly to stakeholders, while coordinating across all kinds of teams. Use tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Datadog, and other observability platforms to monitor automation health, investigate failures, and identify root causes. Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation for automation support and incident handling. Contribute actively to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and strengthen operational reliability through code and automation. Qualifications What Essential Skills You Will Need 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or a related technical role. Hands-on experience with GitLab, including repositories, merge requests, pipelines, CI/CD, and basic platform troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives. Experience following an incident management process, including assessment, war-room participation, status communication, and post-incident follow-up. Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar automation platforms to develop workflow automation. Experience with Atlassian Forge, Slack-Bolt, workflows, and chatbot integration frameworks. Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Datadog, or similar platforms. Expert in pattern recognition and root cause analysis. Scripting and automation experience in Python. Daily working fluency with Jira, Confluence, and Slack. Experience deploying and operating chatbots, automation, or integration applications in production. Understanding of SLA management, incident impact, and breach analysis. Exposure to Dynamics 365 or similar ticketing systems for escalation workflows is beneficial. Experience building automation on workflow platforms such as n8n, Workato, or serverless integration frameworks is an advantage.
