Tech Lead Central Risk Book VP

Salary: $170,000 - 230,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for experience designing and delivering high-performance, scalable Java applications, including use of AI-assisted agentic coding tools, along with strong knowledge of relevant programming languages, frameworks, and secure coding practices. We value experience working with traders, quants, and business stakeholders to shape requirements, define solution approaches, and deliver technology aligned to business needs. Additional experience with real-time risk and PnL components, including integration with quantitative libraries in financial services, is highly valued. Responsibilities: We lead and manage engineering teams by providing technical direction, mentorship, and support to deliver high-quality software solutions. We drive technical excellence and foster a culture of innovation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align engineering decisions with business goals. We oversee timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and task prioritisation to deliver solutions within scope, time, and budget. We mentor team members, support professional development, conduct performance reviews, and give actionable feedback. We evaluate and improve engineering processes, tools, and methods to increase efficiency, streamline delivery, and enhance productivity. We collaborate with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. We enforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure high-quality outcomes. We contribute to or set strategy, define requirements, recommend changes, and manage policies, processes, and continuous improvement. We advise stakeholders and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment. We manage and mitigate risk, strengthen controls, and support the control and governance agenda. We build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key business objectives.
