Systems Engineer (Engineer/Principal)

Salary: $81000 - 185000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in a STEM discipline and at least 2 years of relevant military or professional experience, or a masters degree in a STEM discipline with relevant military, professional, or academic experience for the Systems Engineer level. For the Principal Systems Engineer level, we require a bachelors degree in a STEM discipline and at least 5 years of relevant military or professional experience, or a masters degree in a STEM discipline and at least 3 years of relevant military or professional experience, or a PhD with at least 1 year of relevant military, professional, or academic experience. We require an active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation. We require the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable timeframe based on business needs. We require experience with military aircraft or weapon system design and/or operation, including requirements verification and certification. We require experience interpreting, deriving, allocating, or managing technical requirements. We require experience using DOORS. Preferred qualifications include experience with Python or another scripting language, requirement decomposition and traceability, software development, hardware/software integration testing, Agile execution, supplier technical management, DOORS DXL and administration, Cameo, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and CI/CD support for aircraft sustainment efforts. Responsibilities: We conduct research, define requirements, develop models, establish interfaces, and perform analysis as part of an integrated product team environment. We drive the development of new program requirements, refine existing requirements, and help shape future technologies and capabilities. We collaborate across engineering disciplines and technology areas to integrate and communicate technical capabilities and analyses to internal stakeholders and external customers. We carry out requirements development, allocation, and verification/validation planning, while managing interface definition efforts. We prepare detailed specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports. We support communication with program, functional, and subsystem leads. We maintain systems engineering artifacts in line with configuration management procedures. We coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of systems engineering artifacts. We gather input from stakeholders and team members, synthesize information, and present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
