Systems Engineer

Salary: $176000 - 264000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university plus 12 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD plus 6 years of relevant experience. We need experience across parts of the software development life cycle, including design requirements, application development, integration, testing, or deployment. We require experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management. We need experience in software architecture and design. We require experience developing and verifying requirements. We expect familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS. We value familiarity with Agile software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, and Bitbucket. We require strong communication skills. We need the ability to think critically and capture ideas clearly in work products, presentations, and discussions. We require the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require an active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, with the ability to start with that clearance. We require willingness and ability to travel up to 10%. We require the ability to work full time in an on-site, closed-area environment. Preferred: a degree in Systems Engineering. Preferred: experience with risk analysis and risk management. Preferred: experience in Agile/Scrum leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner. Preferred: demonstrated planning, organization, and cross-functional teamwork with a customer-focused mindset. Preferred: knowledge of the GMD domain. Responsibilities: We support the GWS Execution Team in a flexible, multi-build environment. We work closely with Build Leads to drive roadmap execution and provide technical support for build activities. We create Technical Review Packages. We facilitate and participate in design reviews. We perform analysis and impact assessments for specification updates and releases. We contribute to the Engineering Review Board. We interface with stakeholders to help ensure smooth delivery and high-quality program outcomes.
