SVP Cyber Technology Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - 253,000 per year Requirements: We require a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field involving systems coding or engineering, or equivalent practical experience. We are looking for strong experience with large-scale data platforms; Splunk is preferred, though ELK, Kafka, or similar tools are also acceptable. We need deep expertise in Kubernetes and containerized environments, including logging and observability integrations. We value strong knowledge of cloud platforms, with Azure preferred, and hybrid on-premises plus cloud architectures. We seek experience designing and operating data ingestion pipelines and distributed systems. We expect hands-on experience with Universal Forwarders, HEC, syslog, or comparable ingestion technologies. We require proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java. We look for experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform. We need a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system internals. We seek experience troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems across complex networks. We value experience integrating systems through APIs and event-driven architecture. We expect familiarity with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices. We require a solid understanding of risk culture, system controls, and risk reduction techniques. Additional valuable experience includes enterprise logging and observability platforms, data modeling and normalization for log data, security technology integrations, exposure to AI/ML use cases on large datasets, distributed systems performance tuning, and containerization technologies with cloud-native architecture. Responsibilities: We design, engineer, and scale enterprise data ingestion pipelines for cyber platforms, including Splunk. We lead onboarding and integration of application and infrastructure data sources, especially Kubernetes and cloud-native sources. We engineer and optimize ingestion mechanisms such as HEC, heavy forwarders, syslog, and edge processing layers. We enable Kubernetes-based logging and observability integrations across containerized environments. We integrate cyber data platforms with cloud services, including Azure, and modern application architectures. We improve data quality, normalization, and consistency across large-scale distributed systems. We mitigate systemic outages and reliability risks across critical cyber technology platforms. We analyze complex technical issues and implement scalable solutions across distributed environments. We design and implement automation and configuration management solutions using DevOps practices. We contribute to incident response, escalation support, and post-mortem analysis. We support system design, platform management, and capacity planning for ingestion and data services. We drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the platform. We research, document, and present engineering solutions and architectural improvements. We collaborate across global teams to enable a scalable, self-service onboarding model. We mentor junior engineers and help strengthen team capabilities.
