Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description Own payments domain: collections, revenue split, treasury ops, and activation bridge. Own billing engine: subscription lifecycle, renewals, grace periods, mid-cycle changes. Own integration layer: Splynx adapter, webhooks, external notifications. Architectural decisions: service boundaries, event contracts (Kafka), API design. Write production code, review teammates, unblock the team. Senior IC; no people management; you will build systems. 🎯 Requirements 7+ years of software engineering; at least 3 years backend handling financials. Deep TypeScript/Node.js expertise; design a NestJS microservice from scratch. Production experience with payment gateway integrations (M-Pesa, Stripe, Adyen, etc.); know STK push, webhooks, reconciliation. Strong PostgreSQL skills; design schemas, migrations, isolation/locking. Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
