Sr. Software Engineer - Data Migration & Mgmt

Salary: $218000 - 262000 per year Requirements: We need 12+ years of industry experience in software development. We need 5+ years of experience in data management and migration systems, as well as storage platforms for handling and retaining data across multiple workloads and environments. We need 3+ years of advanced, hands-on experience with fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures, including service-oriented architectures, cloud-native models (FaaS, PaaS), and cloud storage services on at least one hyperscaler such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. We need strong proficiency with file systems or file and cloud storage protocols. We need experience with NFS, SMB, and iSCSI protocols. We need proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Golang, Node.js, or Python. We need experience with Docker and Kubernetes. We need experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, CI build systems, and automated testing. We need someone who is proactive, self-directed, and able to exercise strong technical judgment and influence. We need the ability to provide both architectural guidance and detailed technical direction. We need excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, stakeholders, and the engineering community. We prefer a bachelors degree in a technical field such as engineering. We prefer a masters degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or software development. We value a strong understanding of storage architecture, storage management, data management, and standard networking. We prefer experience working in Agile software development environments. We value a proven ability to work in a fast-paced setting and communicate technically with stakeholders. Responsibilities: We will define and lead the architecture and technical direction for complex cloud-native services while staying hands-on through design, implementation, reviews, and quality work. We will validate and qualify solutions to ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and enterprise readiness. We will solve complex customer challenges and help create intellectual property. We will coach and mentor engineers across the team, including new hires and early-career talent, through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing. We will collaborate closely with team members and leadership to ensure we achieve our team objectives together. We will partner with others across the team to help deliver customer commitments successfully.
