About the role
Design and develop storage system software, including kernel-level programming and debugging.
Salary: $107000 - 160000 per year Requirements: We are looking for strong programming ability in C/C++ and Python, ideally with hands-on experience in Linux/UNIX environments. We expect experience in system software development and kernel-level debugging. We value experience writing unit test code and building test automation scripts. We prefer familiarity with modern automation tools and frameworks, along with enthusiasm for adopting new testing methods. We look for a solid grasp of core systems engineering principles. We need excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. We seek someone who can work effectively in cross-functional, globally distributed teams. We require strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with storage and cloud technologies is a plus. A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required. Responsibilities: We will have you design and develop storage system software, including kernel-level programming and debugging. You will apply modern software engineering practices to new product development and to enhancements of existing technologies. You will write unit tests in C/C++ and create Python-based test automation scripts. You will participate in design, coding, debugging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments. You will develop, adapt, and run detailed software test plans and test cases manually and through automation to support high product quality. You will investigate and resolve issues in close collaboration with teammates and other groups. You will engage in technical discussions as part of our global engineering team and support peers as a technical resource. You will stay current with the latest testing tools, technologies, and frameworks, and help drive automation initiatives. You will contribute to technical design conversations and share knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, file systems, networking, algorithms, and data structures. You may work with storage protocols such as NVMe, SAS, and Fibre Channel.
