About the role

Lead design and delivery of AI-native observability and incident management service for Amazon.

Salary: $244000 - 330000 per year Requirements: We require 10+ years of engineering experience We require 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams We require 10+ years of experience planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experiences We require experience partnering with product or program management teams We require experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment We prefer experience managing engineers We prefer experience designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic applications We prefer experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability Responsibilities: We will lead the design, architecture, and delivery of an AI-native observability and incident management service for our global Customer Service network We will build and grow a high-performing engineering organization, including hiring and mentoring software development engineers across multiple disciplines We will architect real-time signal detection and observability systems that continuously monitor network health and identify risks and anomalies before customers are impacted We will deliver autonomous incident response and recovery capabilities that replace manual, fragmented processes with intelligent real-time intervention We will partner with Applied Science teams to develop and integrate ML models for anomaly detection, predictive alerting, and closed-loop learning workflows We will drive technical roadmap execution from proof of concept through production, balancing delivery speed with long-term architectural quality We will collaborate cross-functionally across Network Solutions and partner teams to integrate platform capabilities into the broader Customer Service ecosystem We will establish operational excellence practices for production services, including on-call support, incident response, and continuous improvement mechanisms Technologies: AI Architect Support Network More: We are Amazon Customer Service, where customer experience is at the heart of everything we do. This role leads the Network Control Center, a new initiative focused on continuous observability, situational awareness, and proactive intervention to protect customer journeys across all channels.
