Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, and Apache Spark for large-scale analytics.

Salary: $140000 - 199000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline. We seek 6-8 years of experience in data engineering or a similar function, with a strong record of delivering reliable data solutions. We need hands-on expertise with AWS services including Glue, Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail. We require experience with dbt, Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Qlik. We expect advanced SQL proficiency, including complex query writing, query optimization, and performance tuning. We look for experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB, along with knowledge of when to use them. We need strong programming ability in Python, Java, or Scala, plus experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop. We prefer 3-5 years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and associated data services like Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery. We value knowledge of big data ecosystems, including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and HBase, as well as distributed processing concepts. We require familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow. We look for experience with version control and testing tools such as Git, DVC, and dbt. We need an understanding of data protection practices, including encryption, access controls, and masking. We require regular in-person attendance at our office during standard working hours. This role is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to operate computer equipment and perform physical tasks such as speaking, hearing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs. We need good finger dexterity for the role. Responsibilities: We analyze large volumes of business data to solve practical problems and build metrics and business cases that drive business insight. We leverage data from platforms such as Jira, our portal, and Salesforce to support analysis and decision-making. We partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Business Intelligence Engineers to automate and scale analytics. We own large datasets and build new data pipelines that feed critical data systems. We design, implement, and support analytical data infrastructure with a strong understanding of modern data warehouse concepts. We build and maintain efficient, scalable ETL pipelines for both structured and unstructured data. We optimize storage and retrieval approaches to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. We manage AWS resources, including compute, storage, serverless, security, logging, and monitoring services. We integrate data from varied sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies. We explore emerging AWS capabilities to improve efficiency and expand platform functionality. We collaborate with Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers to promote best practices in reporting and analysis. We improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes by automating and simplifying self-service support. We maintain internal reporting platforms and tools, including troubleshooting and development work. We work with internal users to clarify requirements and translate them into report specifications. We partner with Engineering teams to shape and deliver BI infrastructure, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms. We contribute to the growth of our BI tools, capabilities, culture, and business impact. We write advanced SQL queries and Python code to create effective solutions. We collaborate across teams to align AI initiatives with organizational priorities and apply AI concepts effectively. We support CI/CD pipelines and assist with deployments when needed.
