Software Engineering Manager

Salary: $110,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for commercial experience leading development teams and delivering high-quality software applications in client-side or service-side development. We value a strong interest in technology and in software development practices and processes. We need experience with C#, Golang, TypeScript, or other server-side technologies. We are looking for someone adaptable who can guide a team toward the best business outcome. Experience with mobile technologies is important. Experience with performance testing is required. Knowledge of service-oriented architecture is desirable. Exposure to multiple software development methodologies is beneficial. Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, GKE, or SaaS is preferred. Exposure to generative AI and large language models is an advantage. Responsibilities: We build and manage a capable, responsive, motivated, and delivery-focused team. We enforce governance across quality, rules, standards, and processes so solutions meet business needs. We ensure the development process is completed in a timely manner. We plan and track work actively according to product, project, and development priorities. We develop a solid understanding of the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems our team owns. We identify and reduce delivery risk. We remove blockers that slow down delivery. We work through dependencies to keep progress moving. We mentor team members and help share knowledge across the group. We provide input on developer appraisals and other performance feedback. The team is working with Golang, Google Spanner, C# with SQL, Kafka, GCP migration, and a front-end transition from WPF to React, with testing and observability as key priorities.
