Cloud Platform Engineer

Salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements: Prior experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud. Knowledge of core platform concepts, including projects and folders, IAM, and billing. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices, preferably Terraform. Experience with GitOps and source code management using Git. Confidence building custom automation and scripts with tools such as gcloud, CLI, Bash, Python, and Go. Experience with modern platform stacks such as Kubernetes or GKE, plus related technologies and workflows, including service mesh ingress, CI/CD, monitoring, and security tools. Awareness of networking in public cloud environments and key cloud security considerations. Responsibilities: Deploy, operate, and support cloud resources within our software function. Take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of cloud resources as part of software product initiatives. Work with colleagues to advocate for and guide technical aspects of cloud adoption. Partner with our central Cloud Platform Team to apply key principles and standards to the operation of the technologies in your remit. Support and advise stakeholders. Promote engineering excellence by fostering modern practices and processes across the team. Collaborate with our central Cloud Platform Team to shape the next iteration of self-service automation technologies.
