Software Engineering Intern

Salary: $50,000 - 72,500 per year Requirements: We require candidates who are currently pursuing a bachelors degree, masters degree, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, wireless engineering, information security, mathematics, digital arts & sciences, or a related discipline at an accredited university. We prefer experience or familiarity with one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows, .NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, real-time controls, wireless, software security, robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or embedded systems. Responsibilities: We apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to develop software for the target application. We collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance needs, and overall system design. We support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. We develop software test procedures, software applications, and related documentation. We use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, run experimental tests, and assess results. We participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and resolve defects. We work with a range of software languages and platforms across Windows, Linux, mobile environments, and embedded real-time operating systems.
